Youth Against Bigotry essay
Bigotry is probably something that is going to be around for a long time and won't change. So to respect other people and their rights we need to forget our differences when we judge people. When you judge people it needs to be based on who they are, not what they look like, because after all we're all the same on the inside. We shouldent have any predjudice against anyone, no matter what their skin skin colour is or what gender they are or if they belong to a different religeion. We should not judje people by any of these things, we should judge people by their charachter.
Racial abuce is very bad because it is hurting the victim, and making them feel bad about themselves , and when racisim is happening it is often very hard for the victim to concentrate on anything else such as their schoolwork. And sometimes the victim keeps it bottled up and that only makes it worse.
Sexisim is also very common . Being nasty or discriminating to someone because they are of the opposite sex makes the victim feel bad about themselves in this form of bigotry too. It also makes the victim feel as though they might not be very good at things that are stereotyped as things that the opposite sex should do.
I hope that quite soon these things and any other forms of discriminationbecome less commonin the near future, and Youth Against Bigotry is a great way to start.
